McCormick is out of the lineup Wednesday for Game 2 of the Astros' World Series matchup with Atlanta, Jake Kaplan of The Athletic reports.

With Jake Meyers (shoulder) likely to miss the entirety of the World Series, McCormick drew the start in center field Tuesday in the Astros' 6-2 loss in Game 1, going 0-for-3 with an RBI. Though McCormick looks like he'll serve as the Astros' primary option at the position versus right-handed pitching, he'll take a seat Wednesday with southpaw Max Fried on the hill for Atlanta. Jose Siri will pick up the start in center field in McCormick's stead.
