Taillon's fastball sat in the mid 90s and touched 97 mph in an extended spring training game against Philadelphia on Thursday, Stephen Nesbitt of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. Taillon continues to work his way back from Tommy John surgery. At some point the organization will place him with a minor-league team. It's possible -- though a longshot -- that he'll pitch in Pittsburgh in 2015. His innings and pitch count will both be closely monitored, wherever he ends up.
