Taillon has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with right shoulder fatigue.

EDGE Analysis

Taillon has been pitching well this year, with a 3.86 ERA and 4.2 K/BB in his first five MLB starts. But considering he has already thrown 89.2 innings this season (including the minors) and has never thrown more than 150 in a single campaign, it's unsurprising the Pirates aren't going to push him if he's feeling any pain or discomfort at all in his shoulder. We'll keep an eye out for any more details on the injury, but given the description of fatigue, it sounds like he'll have a chance to return by his first eligible day of July 15.
