Taillon (elbow) will throw his second live batting practice Friday, Rob Biertempfel of the Pittsburgh Tribune reports. Taillon is scheduled to pitch in extended spring training in April, at which point he will be nearly a full year removed from Tommy John surgery. He's expected to progress to curve balls in due time, but for now, they're playing it safe with primarily fastballs. Look for Taillon to make a bid for a bullpen or rotation spot early in the second half, provided he remains free of setbacks.
