Taillon (elbow) is set to receive a second opinion to address his ongoing battle lower-abdominal discomfort, Rob Biertempfel of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports. Taillon's recovery from Tommy John surgery remains the more pertinent issue for the Pirates, but the abdominal injury has presented an unexpected roadblock in the rehab process. With the team still not able to properly determine the extent of the injury, Taillon will consult with other medical professionals to get a better understanding of the situation. Assuming the setback doesn't prove to be too significant, Taillon should eventually start up his throwing program again and attempt to make his way back to Triple-A Indianapolis before season's end.
