EDGE Analysis
Clippard relieved Taylor Clarke in the ninth inning with the Diamondbacks leading 4-1, and he allowed a pair of inherited runners to score before yielding the game-tying single to LaMonte Wade. It was the first blown save of the year for Clippard, who took over closer duties in the wake of Joakim Soria's trade to Toronto. The 36-year-old Clippard has a 1.29 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and a pair of saves in seven innings this season.
