Suzuki will be the Marlins' starting right fielder until Giancarlo Stanton returns from the disabled list, Bob Nightengale of the USA Today reports.

Although it will hurt the Marlins to be without Stanton's power, Suzuki is a more than capable backup in the midst of a resurgent season. With a .319/.389/.390 line, it's entirely possible that the 42-year-old Suzuki could see a spike in runs scored while Stanton recovers from a groin injury. Suzuki will be batting leadoff Sunday as the Marlins take on Chris Sale and the White Sox.
