Suarez was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday, Alex Pavlovic of CSN Bay Area reports.

Suarez, along with teammate Matt Reynolds, were sent down to clear room for Will Smith and Matt Moore, who the Giants acquired on Monday. This season with the Giants, Suarez owns a 4.20 ERA in 16 appearances, six being starts. The 26-year-old will head back to Triple-A where he owns a 2.88 ERA in 25 innings.
