EDGE Analysis
Myers held the Nationals scoreless in the four innings following Luis Garcia's first-inning solo homer. However, manager Pat Murphy turned to the bullpen to start the sixth inning, pulling Myers at 64 pitches before he made his third trip through the lineup. Reliever Hoby Millner surrendered three runs in the sixth inning, resulting in Myers' fifth loss of the campaign. Since throwing eight scoreless innings against the Pirates on July 10, Myers has failed to complete more than 5.1 innings in a start. He's slated for a home bout against the Reds next weekend.
