Gomber needed 89 pitches to get through 13 outs in Tuesday's outing as he struggled significantly with his command. The six walks were the most he's had since his 2021 debut against the Dodgers on April 4, during which he issued seven free passes in just three innings. He had no trouble in the opening frame Tuesday but then went on to give up four runs over the next 3.1 innings, including two solo home runs. The left-hander now has three losses in his last four outings and owns a 4.53 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 113:41 K:BB over 115.1 innings.
