Strop walked one and gave up a three-run homer to Andrew McCutchen in an inning against the Pirates on Friday. Only two of the runs were charged to Strop. It's been a tale of two months for Strop so far this year. After being nearly unhittable in April (he gave up just two hits and two walks in 9.1 innings), the first two weeks have been a disaster: 7.2 innings, eight hits, eight runs, and five walks. McCutchen's home run was the first homer given up by Strop this year. He's already made 19 appearances in the Cubs' first 35 games and looks like he could use a break.
