Stroman allowed two runs on five hits and one walk across six innings in a no-decision Sunday against the Yankees. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman contained the dangerous opposing lineup for the most part, pitching effectively to contact and allowing just one extra-base hit. A pair of RBI from Matt Holiday in the fourth and sixth innings represented the only damage done against hit, but the offense failed to provide him support until Justin Smoak's game-tying home run in the bottom of the sixth, removing any chance for him to earn his fourth consecutive win. Stroman struggled in his first start in May, but he has since allowed two earned runs or fewer in five of six starts to lower his ERA to a shiny 3.25 ahead of Saturday's start against the Mariners.
