Stroman (11-8) took the loss Wednesday against Baltimore after allowing two unearned runs on six hits and three walks while striking out seven over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Two unearned runs in the first inning led to a tough loss Wednesday for Stroman, who hasn't found the win column in his last five starts. He worked around a bit of trouble by doing what he does best -- inducing double plays -- and now leads MLB pitchers with 30 double plays on the season. In 30 starts this year, Stroman owns a solid 3.08 ERA, but a less than stellar 1.31 WHIP over 184.1 innings. The right-hander will look to get on track and snag his first win since mid-August when he toes the rubber for Tuesday's home game against Kansas City.
