Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Steven Souza Jr. has seen marginal improvement in his strained right pectoral, but may still take a trip to the DL. If Souza is placed on the DL  on Tuesday, the Diamondbacks can backdate his injury three days, leading to a shorter absence. It does not sound as serious as the pectoral injury that forced him to miss an extended amount of time to start the season.
