The New York Mets placed starting pitcher Steven Matz (arm) on the 10-day disabled list on Friday with a flexor pronator strain. In a corresponding move, pitcher Corey Oswalt was called up from the minors to take Matz's spot in the rotation on Sunday against the Braves.
