Steve Pearce hit a pair of two-run homers to lead the Orioles past the Rangers 7-1 on Monday. Pearce, who has been on waivers as often as anyone in the league the last couple of years, has come up huge for the Orioles, solving their DH problems recently. He is hitting .327 with nine homers, 12 doubles and 25 RBI in 146 at-bats. One imagines he'll falter against righties as time goes on, but he should remain a starter against lefties. Both of his homers tonight came off southpaw Joe Saunders.
