Steve Kroner of the San Francisco Chronicle reports that Athletics manager Bob Melvin "strongly suggested" Tuesday that the team plans to bring Brett Anderson (foot) back as a reliever. It's been looking that was since last month when Anderson said he'd be fine coming back in a relief role. He's obviously plenty good enough to start and would on most teams, but the A's are blessed with a plethora of rotation options and can afford to ease Anderson back in. He'll throw two innings in his first rehab appearance with Triple-A Sacramento on Saturday.
