Steve Cishek took his fourth loss after giving up three runs in 1 2/3 innings against the Reds on Thursday. Cishek pitched a scoreless ninth with the Marlins down 2-1 and then was asked to stay in to pitch the 10th after the Marlins tied it. It's the second time this year he's been asked to get more than three outs, and both times he's taken losses. Cishek had been pitching better of late, so he should be safe in the closer's role. He's 5-for-6 in his save chances this year, blowing only his first opportunity on April 7.
