Stephen Vogt hit his first home run of the season to help propel the Athletics to a 7-1 win over the Angels. Vogt jumped all over a high 2-2 fastball from Jered Weaver in the sixth inning and deposited it over the right field wall to put the A's up 4-1 and end Weaver's night. Vogt has gotten some run in the corner outfield in recent days, but he drew the start behind the dish tonight. The 29-year-old Vogt, who made his season debut on the first day of this month, has gone 9-for-29 (.310).
