Peters (back) will report to Triple-A Indianapolis on Monday to begin a rehab assignment, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

Peters was cleared for game action in the minors after he tossed a live batting practice over the weekend without incident. The lefty has been on the shelf since June 7 with a back muscle spasms and will likely need at least a couple of appearances at Triple-A before the Pirates are comfortable reinstating him from the 15-day injured list.
