Junis (hamstring) is initiating a throwing program this weekend, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The Grade 2 hamstring strain that sent him to the injured list June 11 was expected to keep Junis out 4-to-6 weeks. As Slusser notes, it seems encouraging that he is already throwing, given that it was a Grade 2 strain. Perhaps he is trending closer to the short end of the initial timetable.
