Astros manager Dusty Baker said Monday that Baez (shoulder) has resumed throwing off flat ground, Adam Spolane of Sports Radio 610 Houston reports.

Baez has been on the 10-day injured list since Aug. 24 after aggravating the shoulder injury that kept him sidelined to begin the 2021 campaign. He'll likely need to complete some sort of rehab assignment or series of simulated games before returning from the IL, so Baez is realistically at least a week away from being activated.
