Baragar (elbow) began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The 27-year-old resumed throwing over the weekend and is nearing his return from the injured list. Baragar landed on the shelf with left elbow inflammation in late May, so he shouldn't require more than a couple appearances in the minors before being cleared to rejoin the Giants.
