O'Neill (hamstring) is expected to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Memphis on Monday, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

O'Neill will serve as Memphis' designated hitter Monday and then advance to playing in left field Wednesday and Thursday. If all goes to plan, he could be back with the Cardinals as soon as Friday when they start a three-game series versus the Phillies.
