Starting on three days' rest for the first time in his career, Jered Weaver was tagged for seven runs in six innings by the Rangers on Sunday. Weaver struck out a season-low two batters and matched his season highs with eight hits and four walks allowed. It seems safe to say manager Mike Scioscia won't be trying this again during the final month of the season.
