Yepez was called up from Triple-A Memphis on Friday afternoon and will jump right into the Cardinals' starting lineup against the Tigers and left-hander Matthew Boyd. Yepez could see semi-regular action, especially versus lefties, as Tyler O'Neill recovers from a lower back strain. Alec Burleson is on the bench Friday.
