Stanton (head) is expected to have his stitches removed Tuesday, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports. More tests will follow, which could effectively rule Stanton out for the remainder of the season. The general consensus seems to be that Stanton will not return this month, after suffering facial fractures and dental damage as a result of being hit by a Mike Fiers pitch Thursday, but manager Mike Redmond suggested Stanton will likely push to make it back.
