Souza suggested Wednesday that the cortisone shot he received was taking effect, and that he hoped to return in a limited capacity this weekend. It's uncertain when he may be able to return to the starting lineup. With Souza down, Corey Dickerson has been thrust into outfield duty and Peter Bourjos has been left as the lone healthy reserve in the outfield, although Daniel Robertson can probably help out in a pinch.
