Souza (hip) will begin a rehab assignment at High-A Charlotte on Friday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

After hitting in the cage earlier in the week and passing a running test, Souza has been cleared for full activity without limitation. As such, he'll play in his first rehab game Friday and will likely make a few more appearances before a potential return to the Rays sometime next week.
