Soria (1-0) struck out the side but also surrendered two hits and an earned run over one inning in Friday's 4-3 victory over the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
It was an eventful stint on the mound for the veteran reliever, who actually facilitated a 3-2 Twins lead by surrendering an eighth-inning homer to Byung Ho Park. However, he managed to get through the inning by striking out the side, and then was gifted a victory when the Royals scored twice in the bottom of the inning and Wade Davis was able to close matters out in the ninth. The 31-year-old is expected to primarily serve as a set-up man to Davis in 2016, but has now yielded four earned runs in just 2.2 innings of work so far this season.
