The glasses-clad infielder missed all of last season after undergoing surgery to remove loose bodies from his knee in April. It seems like he's back to full health following that procedure, although his health alone is not enough to win him a bench role at the major league level. Sogard is known more for his patience at the plate and his low strikeout rates, although he'll need to garner a few hits over the spring in order to prove that he's more than an organizational depth piece.
