Snider was re-signed to a minor league deal with the Royals on Friday, Rustin Dodd of the Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 28-year-old outfielder was a non-roster invitee to camp this spring, and though he was released from his deal Wednesday, the Royals will bring him back on a minor league camp. He had a respectable .262 average with two home runs with the Royals this spring, but his 17 strikeouts in 42 at-bats did not mesh well with Kansas City's high OBP philosophy. Snider will likely start the season at Triple-A Omaha and his chances of being called up to the major leagues are largely dependent on the Royals' health in the outfield.
