Smith will be out of the lineup Sunday against the Rangers. As has been customary this season, Smith will sit out with a southpaw in Ross Detwiler on the mound for the Rangers. With the lefty-hitting Dustin Ackley also sitting out Sunday, Nelson Cruz and Justin Ruggiano will man the corner outfield spots.
