Smith is out of the lineup Wednesday, the Seattle Times' Ryan Divish reports. With a lefty on the mound for the O's the Mariners' righty-heavy lineup will be deployed Wednesday with Justin Ruggiano and Willie Bloomquist getting deployed in the outfield alongside Nelson Cruz.
