Smith is a late scratch from Tuesday's lineup, and will also miss Wednesday's game after tweaking his hamstring, the Union-Tribune's Jeff Sanders reports. While he could be available to pinch hit, the Padres are going to keep him out of the lineup for a couple days just to play it safe. It is not known who will replace him in right field, but Smith could be able to return to the lineup Thursday.
