Skaggs struck out five and walked one while tossing four shutout innings against the Brewers in a minor league game Monday, Pedro Moura of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
He's on track to open the season in the rotation, which is a very encouraging position after he was slowed by weakness in his left shoulder in early March. According to Moura, Skaggs' fastball topped out at 94 mph, and sat at 91-92. His next start will come Saturday, and he's expected to go five innings in that outing in his second-to-last appearance of the spring.
