Skaggs (elbow) threw another bullpen session Monday and expects to face live hitters later this week, Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Skaggs has now throw two bullpen sessions in a four-day span as he continues to build back strength in his arm following Tommy John surgery. Manager Mike Scioscia said Monday's session went "great," and Skaggs is now expected to throw a live batting practice session on Wednesday. It remains to be seen whether the 24-year-old will be ready in time for Opening Day.
