Simon finally turned in a good post-All-Star break start Sunday, holding the Braves to one run on five hits and a walk, striking out six to get the win. Everything finally came together for Simon on Sunday after a miserable stretch following the break. He was far more pitch-efficient as well, needing 99 pitches to get through his seven innings. He's now thrown 160.1 innings this season, by far more than he's ever thrown in a major league season, and just six innings short of his professional high (in 2004 no less). It'll be interesting to see how the Reds address his workload in September.
