Kuhl (hip) will pitch in a simulated game Friday, Patrick Lyons of TheDNVR.com reports.

Kuhl has been on the injured list for less than a week, and it's encouraging that he's been cleared to face hitters so quickly. The right-hander is eligible to rejoin the Rockies as early as Aug. 19, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him return following a minimal IL stint as long as he feels good following Friday's throwing session.
