Angels general manager Perry Minasian recently revealed that the organization has not discussed shutting Trout (calf) down for the remainder of the season, though the star outfielder still hasn't been able to resume running aggressively, per MLB.com.
EDGE Analysis
It's coming up on three months since Trout last saw game action for the Angels, and it is certainly discouraging that he remains unable to run at full speed. The 30-year-old is said to be making progress with his injury, but he hasn't aggressively tested the calf since feeling discomfort while running July 22. The Angels are currently sitting at .500 and are 7.5 games out of a wild-card spot, so time could be running short for Trout to return in time to play in meaningful games.
