The right-hander was able to throw Sunday and Monday with relatively minimal soreness, but he then felt an increase in discomfort during a Thursday session. As such, Thompson was given Friday and Saturday off, and he'll attempt to resume throwing Sunday. If all goes without setbacks, the reliever should be ready to return sometime shortly after the All-Star break.
