Shoemaker was hit in the head with a line drive during a contest in early September, but he is expected to make a full recovery prior to the start of the 2017 campaign. The 30-year-old is expected to slot in toward the top of the Angels rotation as long as he continues performing as he did from May onward (3.10 ERA, 127:20 K:BB).
