Fraley, Justin Dunn and Brandon Williamson were sent from Seattle to Cincinnati on Monday in exchange for Jesse Winker and Eugenio Suarez, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fraley was already looking at a bench role in Seattle, and he would have been pushed further down the depth chart by Winker's arrival. He's now heading to a much more hitter-friendly park and should have far less competition for at-bats. While his career track record doesn't make him a lock for a starting rule, he's coming off a promising age-26 season in which his .210/.352/.369 slash line was good for a 109 wRC+. He hit nine homers and stole 10 bases in 265 trips to the plate and also demonstrated a great eye, walking 17.4 percent of the time.
