Shields took the loss Monday, allowing six runs in 6.1 innings against the Yankees. Shields' bad start comes as a surprise, as the veteran righty had logged six straight quality starts and hadn't allowed more than three earned runs in a start since July 1. Shields will try to right the ship against the Indians his next time out.
