Shields pitched seven solid innings Wednesday, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out four in a win over the Mets. Shields (7-0) cruised through the first five innings, permitting just one runner to reach second base. With the victory, Shields set his personal best for consecutive wins to start a season since he began 6-0 with Tampa Bay in 2006. The veteran righty will look to continue that streak in his next scheduled start Tuesday at Atlanta.
