Shaw will be getting his first start in left field this weekend, the Boston Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw has played some outfield while in Triple-A, but his coming start in spring training should be viewed as a sign the Red Sox are going to keep him on the major league roster when they head north. The 25-year-old has been the star of training camp, hitting .480 (12-for-25) with two homers and nine RBI in nine games. If the bat continues to play, there will be pressure to find him at-bats at first base, third base or left field.
