Shaw has not had more than one hit in any game this spring, but he does have a stolen base in addition to his home run, an early sign that he could attempt more steals in 2017 thanks to his trade to the run-happy Brewers. It remains to be seen how much Shaw will play against left-handers during the regular season, but he will play regularly against righties, and based on spring games, will occupy a spot in the middle third of the Brewers' batting order those days.
