Shaw started at first base in place of the slumping Mike Napoli on Tuesday and had three hits in a win over Miami. Shaw, who was called up earlier in the day, is a safe bet to get the start Wednesday. He's not considered a top prospect in the Red Sox organization, but any production out of the first-base position should be rewarded with more at-bats.
