Shaw left Wednesday's game with a bruised left foot and will get X-rays Thursday, the Boston Globe's Pete Abraham reports.

Marco Hernandez replaced him at third base and would figure to serve as a short-term fill-in option if Shaw misses further time. Fortunately, the Red Sox have a day off Thursday and then the All-Star break next week, so he should have ample time to rest up for the second half if it is indeed just a bruise.
