Weaver also threw a wild pitch during his Cactus League debut. The right-hander told Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic that he was "caught in between" in an effort to incorporate a mechanical adjustment from earlier in the week. Weaver was trying to create more stability with his landing leg, but he made it sound like he's going to scrap the adjustment the next time out. He's penciled in as the fourth starter but could move up a spot if Zac Gallen (shoulder) isn't available when the regular season kicks off.
